Nelson Pine Industries Limited produces GoldenEdge MDF and
NelsonPine LVL from radiata pine grown in the plantation forests of Nelson, New Zealand.

Production of MDF began in 1986, and the LVL plant was commissioned in 2002. Nelson Pine Industries has a reputation for: product consistency, sustainable timber resource

management, low environmental impact practices, market-led research into product and production development.

Nelson Pine has supplied materials and expertise to the first generation of damage avoidance designed structural timber buildings, all of which have utilised offsite techniques to decrease onsite erection times. In supporting PrefabNZ and its members, Nelson Pine sees that it can help identify and assist in the uses of LVL and MDF in offsite construction.
